Research and Marketing Intern

TerraLogos: eco architecture is a sustainable architectural design firm looking for a flexible, motivated individual. This is an internship focusing on research and marketing skills and not intended for individuals looking for an architectural internship, but students may be eligible for IDP hours. 

Entry Level position that supports the organization in a wide variety of tasks oriented around sustainable design, architecture and planning, environmental studies, green building and marketing efforts for a small architectural practice located in Baltimore City. Position is part-time with a minimum of 20 hours per week and is ideal for an exceptional undergraduate student, or graduate student with experience in writing, research, presentations and marketing.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Assists with research by handling frequent research tasks
  • Assists with TerraLogos publications and web content
  • LEED documentation clerk and provides general assistance to Project Manager and other staff
  • General office assistance (maintaining files, information, catalogues, library, email and phone correspondence)
  • Assists with Marketing (web, Facebook, blog, LinkedIn, PowerPoint, assembly or creating marketing materials)
  • Responding to Proposals alongside the Office Administrator.

Additional functions:

  • Demonstrate continuous effort to improve operations, customer satisfaction, timeliness, streamline work processes, and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality seamless service
  • Flexibility in assisting with minimal architectural work, such as site visits and site photography
  • Errands, dog walker, office clean up
  • General duties as assigned.

Requirements

Education:

  • Current College Undergraduate Student, Graduate Student or Recent Graduate.
    Experience:
  • An appreciation and understanding of architectural design, specifically within the realm of sustainability.
  • Experience in a small office environment preferred.

Knowledge of:

  • MS Office suite, specifically Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Social Media Marketing (i.e. Wordpress blogging, Facebook, etc.)
  • Adobe Suite, specifically Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign a plus.
  • AutoCAD 2011/Revit 2011 a plus.
