Favorite Places & Events

We at TerraLogos feel fortunate to work and live in Baltimore City!  We love to get out into the community and mingle with our neighbors.   This month we invite you to check out some of our favorite watering holes… they’ve all got great food, too.

Arcos Mexican Restaurant
Conveniently located 2 blocks away from our office, Arcos is our go-to spot for lunchtime meetings.   Pitchers of sangria and margaritas or cold Negro Modelos go great with the classic Mexican food. The restaurant feels inviting, rustic and lovely, full of salvaged and recycled brick, wood and glass.

Henningers Tavern
Perfectly fried oysters on a bed of wilted spinach dressed in a silky Pernod sauce.  Need we say more?  We’ll take Manhattans, and martinis, and just about anything Jack wants to pour for us in this funky, friendly spot that made one visitor wistfully say, “We don’t have any place like this in New York…”   We always find smart, interesting people to talk to, when we aren’t too distracted by the collection of burlesque star photos behind the bar.

The Laughing Pint
“The nicest little bar in Baltimore” is about as unpretentious and neighborly as it could be, just a local corner pub in Highlandtown.   But surprise — the Pint serves fresh-squeezed greyhounds and cucumber martinis, along with delicious, healthy food with plenty of vegetarian options and daily specials.   We love the local art and the casual, retro atmosphere — this bar is hip without trying too hard.  Say hi to Olive behind the bar!

Ale Mary’s
Drinking the local Resurrection Ale from a chalice feels appropriate in Ale Mary’s, decorated with Catholic-themed art and kitch.  It’s all in good fun, as are the tater tots smothered in gooey cheese.  We love the garlicky steamed mussels, the grilled wings and the fantastic selection of (reasonably priced!) Belgian beers.  It’s a real neighborhood bar, full of friendly locals having a great time.
